Those are not only different approaches we use on various social media, but also the opening words by professor James Santomier Jr, Sacred Heart University – USA, at presentation he held for business proffessionals, faculty and students at Molde Campus yesterday.

“I use social media to communicate with my students,“ Santomier said.

Santomier is an expert in the field and consultant for numerous prosperous companies such as HBO, Forbes Magazine, Xerox and many more. He shared his knowledge in the field of social media and showed how these can help business to survive in the 21st century at an event staged by Molde Næringsforum and Molde  University College.

“If you are in DVD’s business, you better put the SALE sign on,“ he said, while explaining which markets were hit in the past. Their time in the sun is long gone.

“ Social media should be part of an integrated marketing plan.“

Santomier‘s interaction with the audience was brilliant and he ended up being enfolded by questions. Later on businesses had the opportunity to have a face-to-face talk with Santomier.
