Jeg er klar over at et av mine utsagn om administrasjonens rolle under kandidatpresentasjonen skapte enkelte reaksjoner. La det i alle fall ikke herske noen tvil om at jeg både erkjenner og ikke minst respekterer viktigheten av administrasjonens rolle på dette bruket. Vi er vel i det store og det hele nokså avhengige av hverandre!
Så vil jeg bare avslutte med å oppfordre til å bruke stemmeseddelen i 2. omgang av rektorvalget også. Til mulig inspirasjon så kan dere gjerne lese dette diktet, langsomt og ettertenksomt. Lyrikeren Harald Sverdrup var en interessant del av lokalkoloritten i Tønsbergdistriktet i min ungdom: «Stemmeseddel» av Harald Sverdrup.

Thank you for electing me as pro-rector. I will do my best to prove myself worthy of the trust.
I am aware that one of my statements about the administration’s role during the candidate presentation caused certain reactions. In any case, let there be no doubt that I both recognize and not least respect the importance of the administration’s role here. I guess we are largely dependent on each other!
I just want to end by encouraging people to use the ballot in the second round of the rector’s election as well. For possible inspiration, you could read this poem. It is in Norwegian, you may try GT on it but I cannot guarantee the outcome of that! Anyway, the poet Harald Sverdrup was an interesting part of the local color in the Tønsberg district (somewhat 100 kms south of Oslo), in my youth: «Stemmeseddel» av Harald Sverdrup.
